Episode 12: Yureru Fuyu Kodachi

It is raining, and at Iijima residence, Miyuki, still with fever, is sleeping. She dreams of the last scene of episode 11, when she fainted under the rain. Probably because of the schock, she wakes up an coughs, just when somebody rings the doorbell. It is Ai, who came to visit Miyuki. Miyuki heards her mother call Ai's name and is surprised. Meanwhile, at the entrance, Miyuki's mother tells Ai that Miyuki is sick. When Ai shows Miyuki's mother a present for Miyuki, she goes to check her daughter. But Miyuki feign she is no condition to receive her, so tell her mother she will call Ai later. While leaving, Ai wonders if Miyuki is that bad, but Miyuki is just looking through the window. Then, she just seat at her bed... [Miyuki is not wearing the ribbon that she usually has. It is kind of cute that way... ^_^]

Later that day, Ai and Tsuyoshi are outside the movies. [Showing: "Classmates" and "Revenge"] Tsuyoshi looks around and wants to watch "Revenge", but says to himself Ai may not want to watch action-type movies. However, he is surprised when Ai says that is the movie she wants to see. "That is the movie senpai wants to see, isn't it. The last time we went to the movies, I chose the movie [Daitanic (sic)], so this time we will watch a movie you like", says Ai [flashback of episode 3]. Tsuyoshi remembers the double date with Dogeza Master and Miyuki. Just then, Ai tells that Miyuki is sick, which cames to no surprise to Tsuyoshi.

Back at Iijima residence, Haruhiko rings the doorbell. "Okasan, desu ne", says Haruhiko. "Yes?", plainly says Miyuki's mother. "I am Miyuki's..." begins to say Haruhiko, but Miyuki's mother, quickly interrupts him, apologozing for all the trouble. Haruhiko is surprised for what she is saying, and responds he does not know what she is talking about. "So you came to visit her, because she is really sick, isn't it? Let me call her... Miyuki, Yamaguchi-san is here to visit you". When Haruhiko hears Yamaguchi he curses him again. Miyuki had already changed clothes and is checking on the mirror, happy that "Tsuyoshi" was visiting her. She quickly walks down the stairs... "Senpai! Satake-senpai..." Obviously, she is not happy to see him: "What do you want?" Haruhiko begins to say about her relationship with Tsuyoshi and if her friend knows about it. He tries to blackmail Miyuki saying he will tell everything to Ai. "Do as you wish", says Miyuki and leaves. "Heh?", was Haruhiko's only reaction. While walking away, he says that if that is what Miyuki wants...

A happy Ai is walking alone, after leaving the movies, when Haruhiko calls her. "Can I speak you for a moment?"

At Dogeza Cafe, Tsuyoshi is watching some dishes. Just outside, Miyuki is looking inside, not sure if to enter or not. She begans walking, but stops. When Miyuki hears the door opening, she tries to walk away quickly, but is spoted by Minatsu. "Heh? Miyuki-chan!". Inside the Cafe, Tsuyoshi asks if he can leave early, but Master says he can't. Minatsu returns to the Cafe, and back her is Miyuki. Master is happy to see her, but not so Tsuyoshi. "Is your cold better?", asks Tsuyoshi. "Yes, I am better.", answers Miyuki. However, Tsuyoshi is still not happy she is there. "Can I ask you to help on something?", asks Miyuki; Tsuyoshi only replies that he still has his part-time job to work on. However, Master let him go...

"What, senpai with Miyuki?" is Ai's reaction. It seems that Haruhiko has told Ai everything about Miyuki. "It can't be", Ai keeps saying. "It can't be? That is what I found from Miyuki's mother, you can check if you want" is what Haruhiko keeps saying, while Ai begins to have some tears... Haruhiko keeps saying one or other thing, but unnoticed to him, Ai has already ran away, leaving him speaking alone. "What is he doing, mum?" is a little boy's reaction.

Tsuyoshi is walking in front of Miyuki. She is just looking at him, and rushes to grab his arm. Tsuyoshi is surprised by her action. When she sees a store, she says that is the place. Once inside, Miyuki begins shopping looking one cloth after another, but Tsuyoshi is just bored standing there. She asks her if he could give her an opinion, but Tsuyoshi just dodges the question. But Miyuki keeps asking which one he likes more...

At Dogeza Cafe, a customer enters. It is Ai. "Senpai..." Dogeza Master and Minatsu is not sure of what to say to Ai, as Ai is slightly shocked by their silence...

Eyecatch time!

Miyuki and Tsuyoshi finally finishes shopping. Tsuyoshi does not seems to care, as he wants to go back to Dogeza, but Miyuki grabs him... to the arcades. There, Tsuyoshi tries to catch a toy from a UFO catcher, but fails miserably. Miyuki makes fun of Tsuyoshi, but Tsuyoshi will not give up and decides to try again. Meanwhile, Miyuki hears a snap; it is a purikura (sp? - Photo stand with background images) stand. But denying everything, Miyuki says they will leave now, but Tsuyoshi asks if she wants to give it a try. Miyuki begins to check the different backgrounds, just to have a Tsuyoshi complaining she should hurry. She finally take two set of photos. Tsuyoshi is about to leave, but Miyuki is looking happily to the photos... Tsuyohi is about to leave, and check his watch. However, Miyuki has another plans and begs Tsuyoshi not to leave yet. Suddenly,she freaks. "Where is it, where is it?" Miyuki forgot the bag they went shopping earlier (the bag was still next to the purikura stand)

Ai is walking aimlessly. She stops while a train is crossing, still remembering what she heard at Dogeza: "Tsuyoshi went out with Miyuki". "Miyuki-chan, senpai..." is what's in Ai's mind.

At a park (it is the same park as episode 2), Tsuyoshi buys some drinks, while Miyuki is standing near a hut. Tsuyoshi gives Ai a drink and stands next to her, but facing away, on the other side of the rail. Miyuki says that she is happy that Tsuyoshi accompanied her this day. But it only shocks Tsuyoshi. Miyuki turns and shoves the bag that they went to shop to Tsuyoshi, saying it is for him. Then, she embraces Tsuyoshi, saying she loves him. However, Tsuyoshi, with a stern face, pushes Miyuki away... saying they should go home. [Miyuki had placed the soft drink can over the rail. It felt to Tsuyoshi's side, while the bag they went shopping felt to Miyuki's side of the rail.] While walking through the park, Miyuki, who was walking behind Tsuyoshi, notices somebody nearby... It is Ai. Ai can't believe they are together. "Why?" asks Ai. Miyuki says she is sorry, which makes Ai run away. Tsuyoshi tries to catch her, and when he does, she just tells him to leave her alone.

That night, Ai is wandering around the city, and suddenly finds Miyuki again, who seemed to know that Ai will walk that way. Miyuki asks how she knew about them. Meanwhile Tsuyoshi is at Dogeza Cafe staring at the bag Miyuki gave him. Minatsu tries to say something to Tsuyoshi, but she is quickly stopped by Master. Master, who was preparing a beverage with a flask and a burner, watches Tsuyoshi. "There is nothing to be done", Master says to himself.

Ai tells Miyuki it was Haruhiko who told her they were together. Ai, then, confronts Miyuki about her feelings. Miyuki tells Ai she loves her, but she will no longer hold her feelings towards Tsuyoshi, saying she loves him, too. Ai is trembling from her friend's answer as tears appears. "I will not give up, I love senpai. He is the one who I love, I won't give up... I won't give!", is Ai's answer to Miyuki. However, Miyuki is unmoved by Ai's response, and only says she do as she please and walks away.
