The episode begins with the last scene of previous episode, where Tsuoyshi meets again with the girl that helped him at the beach. Tsuyoshi thanks her for the last time, but she still ask how is his feet. Tsuyoshi says it is fine now. The girl ask what flower Tsuyoshi is looking for, but is interrupted when a motorcycle stops outside. It is the shop owners, who welcomes Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi tells the store owner he is looking for the part time job. The store owner looks Tsuyoshi suspiciously, while Tsuyoshi is a bit nervous of how the store owner is looking at him. But, he could have some use of him in the shop so he hires Tsuyoshi. Then, he presents each other; the girls name is Mochida Mahoko. "So, what am I supposed to do?", asks Tsuyoshi.
"Ouch!", is Tsuyoshi's first reaction when he tries to remove the leaves of some flower stems. It is simple, isn't it, considering that Mahoko makes it look simple. Let's try again... "Ouch!" Later, after Mahoko finished a flower arrangement, she asks Tsuyoshi to deliver it. While driving the motorcycle, Tsuyoshi daydreams no how lukcy is he to find a part-time job with such a cute girl! Such distraction almost made him have an accident, as he was almost hit by a truck! In his delivery, the customer tells a bit more about Mahoko, as the customer's daughter is a Mahoko's classmate. Back at the shop, Tsuyoshi asks Mahoko about Hazuki Gakuen. Mahoko is surpised that he found that out. Tsuyoshi just says that a little something he found about her, so don't worry. But Mahoko's feelings has been hurt as he found that out. "No, Mahoko, I didn't mean it", says a nervous Tsuyoshi. "Just kidding!", says jokingly Mahoko. She has been playing being-hurt all the time! Well, let's get back to work, as Tsuyoshi tries to remove the leaves from some flowers stems, and still hurting himself on the way. Mahoko is watching him. "Keep going, Tsuyoshi..." In his next delivery, Tsuyoshi is waiting for the lights to switch, only to be surpised by Minoru who was walking by. "What happened to your part-time job at the beach?" asks Minoru; "I am working in a flower shop, now", answers back Tsuyoshi. Flower shop? wonders Minoru, not fully convinced that Tsuyoshi is working there. They keep talking for a while, but when Minoru asks him about the Flower Shop, the light turns green, and Tsuyoshi leaves. "Katorea Flower Shop? Better check it latter...", Minoru says to himself. After his delivery, Tsuyoshi is back in the flower shop, where Mahoko switches the radio to CD player after hearing some news. Tsuyoshi finds a particular flower which he asks Mahoko about it. "That is a Casablanca (?). It seems it flowered just that day". Mahoko explains that some care must be taken when handling it because the pollen might spread out. At the background, Minoru is watching Tsuyoshi, and says to himself Tsuyoshi is serious about his new job. Mahoko asks Tsuyoshi why he was looking for a part time job at a flower shop. "Because I love flowers" says Tsuyoshi. "Is that so..." replies Mahoko. It is night, so Mahoko is leaving home. Tsuyoshi stops her, "I just want to say good night"; but when Mahoko was about to answer him, a female voice calls for them. It's Mayumi. "Tsuyoshi, I am here to check on your part time job. Remember you promise" says Mayumi. "Promise?" He looks at Mahoko, which makes Mayumi notices her. But Mahoko decides to leave, as they seems to have something to talk about. Mayumi makes fun of Tsuyoshi, but Tsuyoshi is annoyed and shouts her back. "Can it be that... No it can't be" thinks Mayumi. Next day, after hearing some news, Mahoko is a bit depressed. She asks Tsuyoshi to do some of the cores at the back of the shop. After flatenning some boxes, Tsuyoshi wonders what is going on with Mahoko. Meanwhile, a couple of girls enter the shop. Mahoko recognizes one of them as the girl at the beach, so she calls Tsuyoshi. "Heh? It's Miyuki and Ai. What are you doing here?", says Tsuyoshi. "So you work part-time here, Tsuyoshi-san" replies Miyuki. "So, what are you looking?" asks Tsuyoshi. "Some flowers" answers back Miyuki. "I understand Ai buying some flowers, but you..." Miyuki doesn't like to what Tsuyoshi is saying. Mahoko steps in to ask which flowers they will take. Miyuki tells it's Ai who will buy the flowers, so Tsuyoshi taunts Miyuki telling she is such a tomboy that won't buy any of that. Miyuki is getting angrier as Tsuyoshi is saying it. By then, Ai had chosen some flowers, so Mahoko takes to wrap it. "Miyuki, remember", says Ai. Miyuki thanks for what Tsuyoshi did at the beach. "Heh? Thanks for what he did at the beach", says Mahoko to herself. So that means Miyuki isn't Tsuyoshi's girlfriend... When Miyuki and Ai leaves, Mahoko tells Tsuyoshi she will be leaving early as she has an appointment. Later that day a delivery, Tsuyoshi notices Mahoko is waiting for somebody. A guy shows up then, after which they both runs away. "It can't be... Mahoko-chan!", says Tsuyoshi. Eyecatch time! Tsuyoshi stops at Dogeza Cafe. He is totally depressed. But it does not helps much when Minoru and Minatsu are just making fun of Tsuyoshi. In his apartment, there are many flower books on the floor. Tsuyoshi can't sleep, while still thinking about Mahoko and the guy whom she was with. Next day, Tsuyoshi is still half-sleepy, but Mahoko is in great mood. And Katorea Master seems to notice it as he is leaving the shop. "It's because of yesterday's date" says to himself Tsuyoshi. Mahoko tells Tsuyoshi she will teach him some wrap some flowers. They use an iris, and while Mahoko teaches Tsuyoshi, she moves too close to Tsuyoshi, constantly pressing herself against Tsuyoshi. At the end, Tsuyoshi is relieved that she finished giving him instructions. Tsuyoshi asks Mahoko about why yesterday she left earlier; but she only smiles back as she turns on the CD Player. A happy Mahoko begins to do the flower shop chores. She spots on flower pot in particular, and calls Tsuyoshi to take a look at it. However, Tsuyoshi looked somewhere else (Mahoko is wearing a short skirt)... Tsuyoshi keeps practicing some other flower arrangement, and, as he finishes, Mahoko prepares a cup of tea for him. She turns the radio again to hear some news, but there seems to be some bad news. She is interrupted by the phone for an order. Once the order has been prepared, Tsuyoshi gets ready to deliver it, however he notices there is something wrong with Mahoko. Just when Tsuyoshi leaves, a lady enters the shop asking for a Casablanca. When Tsuyoshi returns, the same lady is entering the shop, angered. It seems that the Casablanca that Mahoko prepared has spreaded it's pollen, making some red stains on the lady's blue dress. "That flower is..." says to himself Tsuyoshi. He approaches them and kneels down. He apologizes the lady for what happened to the flower as he was the one who was taking care of it, not Mahoko. At first, the lady does not seem to believe, but when he keeps apolozing, the lady gives up. That night, Tsuyoshi is answering the phone. When he finishes, Mahoko thanks Tsuyoshi for standing for her. She tells Tsuyoshi why she was depressed, because of a news about a baseball player. "So that's why!" as Tsuyoshi laughs. But Mahoko is almost crying because he is making fun of her. Tsuyoshi apologizes, but Mahoko was playing being-hurt again! They keep talking in the shop. Mahoko tells Tsuyoshi why she left earlier the previous day, to meet with her small brother to go to the baseball game. Tsuyoshi is relieved! It is night already, so it is time to close; but Tsuyoshi says there is still an order. "Let me prepare it", says Mahoko. Tsuyoshi declines as he would do it himself. So, Mahoko begins taking all the pots back to close the shop, when Tsuyoshi steps out with the bouquet of kasumigusa. "Kasumigusa?", wonders Mahoko. So Tsuyoshi leaves with the motorcycle... Just to return a couple of seconds later. Mahoko wonders if Tsuyoshi forgot the address, but Tsuyoshi drives in and asks if there is anybody called Mochida Mahoko. Then gives her the kasumigusa bouquet. "For me?" asks Mahoko. Tsuyoshi tells it's because her love to flowers. Mahoko, at first is reluctant, but then accepts the bouquet. She asks Tsuyoshi to close his eyes... And kisses his checks. "I wholeheartly thanks for all the kasumigusa..." Translation note: I used kasumigusa, but that's because I am reading the kanji alone. Mahoko calls it kasumisou (?). Since I can't verify it by myself, I sticked with kasumigusa. That mentioned, kasumigusa is the flower Tsuyoshi gives Mahoko at the end of the episode. Kasumi translates into "mist"; kusa (or ~sou) can be translated as weeds or grass. The flower Tsuyoshi is giving to Mahoko is known as gypsophyllia o "baby's breath". I didn't want to translate the flower name at the top as it would have sounded strange.
