Episode 5: Meeting with the Sea Winds

It's summer, and the temperature is rising. Minoru and Tsuyoshi is outside a shoppette eating an ice cream bar. They are planning what to do on summer. "Will you be studying?", asks Minoru. "Of course not, the only who will be doing such a thing will be Shinji!", says Tsuyoshi And pops out saying he will be doing as they said. The two are perplexed... Anyway, it is summer, the sea, the winds... But, Tsuyoshi won't be able to see or feel any of that, since Dogeza Master will not let him go. Minoru suggests Tsuyoshi they switch jobs, as Minoru will work on a stand at the beach. Minoru also says there will be girl in bikins, so, Tsuyoshi agrees to switch. However, after thinking a while of why Minoru would miss such an opportunity to hit with any girl at the beach, Tsuyoshi firgures out it must be because of Minatsu. But, too late!

Ah, the sea, the breeze, the girls in bikini, thinks Tsuyoshi... But... The stand he will be working on is a bit far from the beach and the girls. Worst of all, his boss is mean, making him work endlessly. Tsuyoshi is beginning to feel depressed for all the work he is getting, and zero fun. Anyway, when two girls, namely Miyuki and Ai, enter the stand and calls him senpai, now he works new renewed energy. By the time Miyuki and Ai finishes their ice shaves (they ordered strawberry ice shaves), they agree to meet later in Tsuyoshi's lunch time to have play at the beach.

So, meanwhile, Miyuki and Ai begans playing. When Ai is knocked down with a air ball, it's Tsuyoshi who helps her. So Tsuyoshi came, after all. Then, let's have some fun! But, lunch time ends and Tsuyoshi has to go back to the stand.

Later, Ai runs to the stand. She needs Tsuyoshi to follow her as soon as possible, as two guys wants to pick up a fight with Miyuki. As Ai explains, she was putting some sun-tan to Miyuki, when this two walked by, and make some sand splash in Miyuki's face. By the time Tsuyoshi arrives, one of the two guys is holding one of Miyuki's wrist, but Tsuyoshi tells him to leave her. "What do you want", shouts one of them. Tsuyoshi only apologizes for what Miyuki did, as she is one of her "kohai". Miyuki, being a bit of a tomboy, does not like what Tsuyoshi is saying, as she thinks it's the jerks fault. This enrages them and leading one of the jerks to hold Tsuyoshi's t-shirt. Meanwhile, at the background, three girls looks from afar the fight they are having. Tsuyoshi, defends himself by twisting the jerk's hand. One of the girls says they must be fighting for the green hair girl. The girl in the middle is totally unimpressed on what is going on, as say to the other two to continue on. So, it seem Tsuyoshi will have to fight these two...

Eyecatch time!

Tsuyoshi fakes to throw a punch, and one of the guys reacts to it. Tsuyoshi decides not fight them, as their is no purpose to keep going on. One of them, taunts him as coward, and, again, holds Tsuyoshi's t-shirt. A girl calls the guy to stop. "Huh? To stop? Who is it?" It's Mayumi! "Akira, please leave, as he is my classmate", says Mayumi. "Eh?" wonders those two guys. "You have friends like this Mayumi?" as a puzzled Tsuyoshi. Ai is relieved that the fight was stopped, but that girl...

Now that all is over, they are more friendly toward each other. Mayumi and Tsuyoshi are seating on a rock, while she gives him a can of soft-drink. She asks about Miyuki and Ai, which Tsuyoshi replies they are underclassmates. (At the background, the two guys are giving tons of drinks to Miyuki and Ai). "But do you like one of them?", asks Mayumi. "But they are kakyuusei", responds Tsuyoshi. "Then, how about a doukyuusei (classmate)", says Mayumi to tease a bit Tsuyoshi. Once Mayumi leaves, Ai asks about Mayumi, which Tsuyoshi replies "she is a classmate". Ai thanks Tsuyoshi for what he did. Miyuki, however, isn't too happy that Tsuyoshi helped her. Ai thanks again Tsuyoshi for all the trouble, specially considering he was leaving his job to help them. "Leaving my job? ARGH!" (We see a clip of Tsuyoshi's boss cursing where Tsuyoshi is).

It is late afternoon, almost for sunset. Tsuyoshi is walking at the beach. "Oh well...", he says to himself. He notices a ball on the beach and kicks it in fury. It lands on a wave, which brings it back to the beach, near a girl who was walking at the beach. (It is the girl above that told the others to leave when Tsuyoshi and Mayumi's friend almost began to fight. By the way, a Beach Boys type of music is heard as background music). She picks the ball and give it back to Tsuyoshi. Tsuyoshi thanks her, but she just keeps walking. Tsuyoshi looks at the girl, and keeps walking... into a piece of glass.

Tsuyoshi jumps in paing, when the girl quickly runs back asking Tsuyoshi what happened. She notices the cut, and tell him to wait, as she will look for something to bandage his wound. Tsuyoshi says it isn't necessary but she insists. Meanwhile, Tsuyoshi sits on a log, as she runs back with a first aid kit. When she bandages his foot, Tsuyoshi asks about her name. She doesn't tell her name, but tells Tsuyoshi about her dislike to guys like him who were fighting for girls. As she leaves, Tsuyoshi wonders about what she just said.

Back to the city, Tsuyoshi is walking in the night aimlessly (or so it seems). Mayumi finds him and wonders what he is doing. In a restaurant, Tsuyoshi tells Mayumi that he is looking for a job as he was "fired" from the beach stand. So, Mayumi tells Tsuyoshi to meet her next day, if he promises to treat her later. They meet next day, only that Tsuyoshi isn't that happy Mayumi is late. Mayumi tells Tsuyoshi about some possible jobs... Like a "host in a female club"! Tsuyoshi keeps turning down job after another. "Don't you have a more "decent" job, Mayumi?" She does have one, but only as a last resort which involves working with flowers. At first Tsuyoshi does not want to take it, as he is a bit allergic to pollen, "but that's the last one, Tsuyoshi!" He reluctantly agrees.

He walks to the place, Katorea Flower Shop. He looks around, and calls for anyone, as it was empty. But nobody seems to respond. As he turns, a girl apologizes for waiting. When Tsuyoshi turns back, and looks who it is, he finds it is the girl that helped him in the beach. She is likewise surprised it is him. (All the same Beach Boys type music is heard at the background).

The episodes ends with a close up of the girl...
