Episode 3: The Dreams of New Leaves (?)

At school, Miyuki is doing some stretching, but Ai calls for her, as she want to speak with her best friend. But when Ai mentions Tsuyoshi, Miyuki is not happy about it and begins to run. Being the top runner, Ai can barely match Miyuki, and fall to her knees. By then, Miyuki has already made a lap.

What does Ai want to speak about? Well, about the date. Or rather, how about going to the Dogeza Cafe to ask the Master about Tsuyoshi. "No!", says Miyuki. Anyway, Ai decides to go alone. Just outside Dogeza Cafe, Ai is not sure to enter or not. Then, Ai is startled when somebody touches her shoulder. It is Miyuki. Miyuki decided to go to the Cafe after all. When the door opens, the Master greets the customers, but blushes when he sees it's Miyuki. "Hey, Tsuyoshi-chan, you know what to do..." When Minatsu welcomes the new customers, she sees its two cute girls. "Tsuyoshi you certainly seem to be attracting some customers!" as Minatsu jokes with Tsuyoshi.

Once seated, Master servers a parfait to Ai, and... a bowl of sundae to Miyuki! "That's all for me", asks Miyuki; "of course", says the Master! However, Ai is comparing her parfait with Miyuki's bowl of ice cream. But she is happy when Tsuyoshi gives her a special topping: two cherries. While Miyuki and Ai are having their ice cream, Master is suspiciously happy, to the amazement of Minoru and Minatsu... Later that day, Master is sitting at the table with a flower: "suki... kirai..." (love me, love me not). Minoru, Minatsu and Tsuyoshi, at the counter, wonders what is happening to the Master. Could it be love? Then, suddenly, Master is behind the counter. While strangling Tsuyoshi, he asks him, if he know what he wants! A date of course. Leaving Tsuyoshi no other option, he agrees.

Next day, Tsuyoshi asks Miyuki to meet him at the school grounds. "What is that you want to talk about?" asks Miyuki. Tsuyoshi says that, because of the snafu last time, how about another date, but this time with Ai in a double date. Later that day, in a park, Miyuki tells Ai about the date with Tsuyoshi, and, Ai is happy of the idea. "But it is a double date", says Miyuki. Ai doesn't seem to care, as long as she would be able to be with Tsuyoshi. It leaves Miyuki wondering who will be her date. While sleeping, Miyuki dreams of many guys, but wakes up when she dreams her date will be Tsuyoshi! "Why is He in MY dreams!!!"

Next day at school, Miyuki arrives early at school mainly because she can't sleep. But, when she gets into her room, she finds Ai is already there. After talking a bit, then its decided that they will go, for Ai's sake. Miyuki phones Tsuyoshi and agrees on the time it wil be.

Now, a bit of fanservice... Miyuki showering! After shower, she reads some magazines, but she still wonders about her date. The day has arrived, Ai is preparing some food. She is beginning to put some salt, when she daydreams of Tsuyoshi... while dropping more salt into what she is preparing!

It is time... Miyuki and Ai are standing at a column, waiting as it is already 10:00. "Where is Tsuyoshi?" At the other side of the column, is Master, waiting for Tsuyoshi. He asks the same: "where can Tsuyoshi be?". When Tsuyoshi arrives, he says sorry for being late, but both side answers back. Miyuki asks why he is alone and who is apologizing to. Tsuyoshi says, "your date". Miyuki looks who is on the other side... only to find Master. "Master! It can't be!"

Eyecatch time!

Heh? Master? My date? Miyuki is nervously smiling. She turns around for a moment, and Ai worries about Miyuki. Miyuki doesn't seem to be so sure to want to have Master as a date, but at the end, she agrees. Let's go to the movies then, to watch... Daitanic (sic)! [Trivia - the other movie playing seems to be Star Trek]

[Note: at the movies they are seating in this order: Master, Miyuki, Tsuyoshi, Ai] Ai looks what Miyuki is doing, but Tsuyoshi notices that Ai is looking that way. Ai is worried about Miyuki, but Tsuyoshi tells Ai she shouldn't. (cut-scene of the movie). Meanwhile, Miyuki gasp. She does not seem to be enjoying the movie that much. Master offer her some pop-corn which she takes. (another cut-scene of the movie). The four are still watching the movie... (yet, another cut-scene... Hey, why don't make an anime movie based on Titanic???) Now, it is time of the iceberg scene. Ai is touched, and moves her hand to the arm of the chair, only to find that Tsuyoshi's hand was already there. This makes her blush as she apologizes. (cut-scene of the movie, this time, the depart). Miyuki seems to be touched by the scene, only to notice, then, that Master is crying! So, Miyuki offers her handkerchief.

After the movie, they go to the park. Before lunch, they decides to take some pictures. "Master, why so serious? Why don't get a bit closer to Miyuki? And put your hand on her shoulder!" shouts Tsuyoshi. Miyuki notices that Master is nervous and smiles. Enough of photos, let's have some lunch! Master brought a picnic for Miyuki, while Ai takes out the bento she made. Miyuki is happy to see all the food, and Tsuyoshi begins eating the bento, only to find it is extremly salty. Tsuyoshi says its delicious, not daring to break a girl's heart. Miyuki tries some of Ai's cooking, only to find Tsuyoshi must not want to tell the truth to Ai. But, Ai, then, seeing that Tsuyoshi likes her bento, she gives hers too. Miyuki must certainly admires Tsuyoshi's courage now!

After lunch, what will we do, now? Master says everyone should go home. Home? Isn't it a bit early? Miyuki takes out some tickets. These are for a cross-training race in the park. Let's prepare then. Since it is in team, Master will team with Miyuki, and Tsuyoshi teams with Ai. But can Master will be able to keep up with Miyuki and the rest? After a while, Tsuyoshi notices a girl drawing. Ai stops and asks about her. "It is a classmate", says Tsuyoshi. Meanwhile, Miyuki is crossing a bridge, but Master does not seem able to keep up with her. Master stops, and Miyuki offers to help her. Master takes her hand, but rather to feel her hand a bit. "Eh, Master...", calls Miyuki. Reality snaps back, and Master rolls back!

They are almost at the goal. However, they suddenly hear a voice. "It can't be", says Tsuyoshi... It is Miko's father (and Miko)! What are you doing there with all this girls. Well, we are in a double... no! We are friends. This seems to calm a bit Miko's father. However, Miyuki decides to play a bit catchy... "No, we are in love", she says to Miko's father as she grabs Master's arm. "It can't be! How you..." Miko's father is (almost) swearing as Tsuyshi and the rest decides to leave.

It is sunset. Miyuki thanks Master. But Master has a questions: did she really meant what she said at the park, that she was in love with him? Joking, Miyuki answers no. Master just sighs. Tsuyoshi hears it and just makes fun of Master. "How dare you to laught at me, Tsuyoshi? How about cutting your salary, heh, Tsuyoshi?"
