OVA 4: Mekumori o Kanjitai... Forever

At night, Mizuho is in her room, with a new bandage on her ankle. She is sitting on her bed, still thinking on what happened earlier. "Why don't you let it go, Mizuho..." she says to herself, while watching her reflection on a mirror. Then, she focuses on her lips, and says "Why did I kiss him". [A flashback of previous, when she kisses Tooru and walks away] She takes a tissue to clean her lips, but stops. "Why can't I let it go. If Tooru likes Miko... Why can't I forget it!", says as she falls on her bed.

Next morning, Mizuho does not want to wake up, despite Mizuho's mother's effort. "I want to sleep more today, mother". But, since she has to go to school, her mother removes the bed sheet, and wakes her up anyway. So, with her spirits down, she brushes her teeth and go to school. "See you later" says Mizuho's mother, but Mizuho answers back with a low response, "I will be back later." She stumbles to the house gate, and once outside, there is somebody waiting for her... It is Tooru with a bike. "Good morning, Mizuho". Tooru, thought, that, since Mizuho won't be able to walk in that condition to school, he will give her a ride on the bike. However, during the trip, it is extremely difficult for both of them to say something to each other. Tooru barely manages to ask how is Mizuho's mother...

When they almost arrive to school, Miyuki and Ai are almost arriving to school. Miyuki seeing Mizuho with Tooru on the bike gets a bit angry, but Ai isn't bothered at all, but happy. Tooru stops on the shoe box section of the school, scaring several students who were there (because he ran into the place with the bike). Miko, who was just there, greets them good morning. Mizuho tries to walk, instead, it makes her ankle hurt again, which makes Miko notice it. Mizuho tells Miko that Tooru brought her to school because of her injury... Later during recess, Mizuho is taking a break when she sees Haruhiko nearby. But Haruhiko is scared that Mizuho is looking his way and tries to walk outside the room. However, he stumbles and fall to the ground. "Are you OK?", asks a female student who was seating nearby, and laughs. So does Mizuho and all the classroom. Then, later that day, Tooru waits for Mizuho with the bike and takes her to school and home until fall (they changed their uniforms by then).

It is late afternoon, and on the roof, Mizuho is looking at the sunset. Miko approaches her and asks if there is anything wrong. Mizuho tells Miko that she has feelings for Tooru, too. But Miko is furious at her, and tells Mizuho that Tooru is hers alone (a shadow figure of Tooru appears, holding Miko's shoulder). But it was a nightmare, as Mizuho wakes up.

Next day, we see some bandage, and a decided Mizuho walking out of her house. Tooru is waiting for her, but when Mizuho walks pass him, Tooru knows something is wrong. Mizuho turns around and thanks Tooru for everything he did, and says she feels fine. So, Tooru walks behind Mizuho, murmuring there is something odd with Mizuho...

It is late afternoon, and on the roof, Mizuho is looking at the sunset. Miko approaches her and asks if there is anything wrong. (yes, it is almost deja vu!) Mizuho is hesitant to talk, so Miko continues. She tells that she didn't came to school with Tooru, and if she is really fine now. Mizuho tells Miko she is really OK, and do some exercise to show Miko she is fine. And Miko follows Mizuho...

Another day, in the girls locker room, Nana and other members of the tennis clubs asks each other if there is something wrong with Mizuho as she hasn't played with them for a while. Meanwhile, Mizuho is walking home, when a soft wind blows some leaves passing her. She watches the leaves fall... On the other hand, Tooru is looking at the tennis courts. "She isn't here today, either" and walks away. On a nearby tree, Ai is watching Tooru... "Senpai...", says Ai. Then Miyuki asks if he somehow loves somebody, which Ai nods. "That's the feeling of love, isn't it..."

In a park with a pond, Mizuho says good bye... to the penguin keychain. "I must let it go now..." But before she throws it away, a voice calls her. It is Tooru. "What were you going to throw..." asks Tooru. "It is nothing", says Mizuho. Tooru, then, asks if it is because of Haruhiko that she hasn't played tennis for a while. Mizuho says it is for no particular reason. Tooru keeps asking her about other stuff, but Mizuho changes the subject about Miko. Slightly odd from Mizuho, Tooru replies about a date they will have. Then, Mizuho tells about the culture festival there will be soon, and begins swinging the keychain with her fore-finger. But it slips away, landing nearby Tooru. Tooru picks it and recalls the keychain... when he gave it to Mizuho as a lucky charm. Mizuho, shocked that Tooru had the keychain, and now knowing that she was about to throw it away, can't take it anymore and runs away.

In Kamiyama temple, Tooru is visiting Miko (wearing the shrine maiden cloths). "Miko-chan", says Tooru; "Tooru-san", says Miko, and they are about to kiss. Suddenly a thunder strikes and begin to rain. Around Miko suddenly looks like a flood and Miko is about to drown... But Miko wakes up, as she was on the bathtub taking a bath. "What is the meaning of this dream...", says Miko.

Miko and Tooru are on the park on a date. Miko is happy they are out that day, and so does Tooru. However, while seating under a tree, Tooru wants to tell something to Miko. Miko feels it is something important. "Miko-chan, I love Mizuho..." It does not shock Miko, as she says she loves Mizuho, too! However, Tooru tells Miko it isn't just like that, he really loves Mizuho. "Do you understand, Miko". Miko, then, realizes that it is her friend Mizuho who Tooru loves, not her. However, Miko asks Tooru if he hates her. "Of course I don't!", says Tooru. It makes Miko happy that he does not hate her, and tells Tooru to play run-n-catch. Tooru finally catches Miko on another tree. When Miko turns, she asks Tooru to kiss her. And so he does...

Next day at school, Mizuho is walking on some stairs, just to notice Miko standing at the end of it. Miko was waiting for Mizuho, to asks if she will be busy the next days, which Mizuho says she won't be. So Miko gives her a ticket of a concert there will be, and tells her she to be sure she will go. Of course, if it is from Miko, says Mizuho, she will go!

The day of the concert, Mizuho is seating waiting for Miko. It is about to begin, and Miko hasn't arrived yet; but instead somebody asks if the seat beside Mizuho is taken. When Mizuho turns, it is Tooru who is standing there. Tooru, as well as Mizuho, is surprised that each other is there. When Mizuho tells it was Miko who she was expecting, and Tooru tells Mizuho that the ticket was giving to him by Miko, both understood it was Miko's idea all the way to get them together! [We see Miko in the temple, raining outside, hanging two dolls, one looking like Tooru, and the other looking like Mizuho. A third one, looking like Miko, that wasn't finished, is nearby a photo of Tooru and Miko] During the concert, Mizuho looks at Tooru, but when Tooru looks her back, she blushes, and look away. Tooru isn't sure on how to react, but at the end, he takes her hand, that was resting on the armchair....

When the concert ends, it is still raining. They runs to Dogeza, that is closed at the moment. Tooru, however, knows there is key nearby, and tries to find it. When he finally does, Mizuho tells him it is getting cold. Tooru finally unlocks the door, and tells Mizuho to get in to warm up. But Mizuho holds his shirt... "It will be us two...", says Mizuho. Then, she hugs Tooru. Inside, on the second floor, Mizuho kisses Tooru. She tells Tooru that she has being hiding her feeling in sake of Miko, but at the end, it was Miko who understood everything and got them together...

Next morning, Mizuho wakes up, just to find Tooru at her side. "Were you watchig me?", asks Mizuho. "Yes, I did", says Tooru. Mizuho is embarrased because of it. Then, Mizuho tells that she loves him, but she wants to know his feelings. Tooru tells Mizuho he loves her 75%, which surprises Mizuho. "And what about the other 25%", she asks. "So that I can learn to love you even more..." Mizuho is happy to hear about it, and kisses him on the cheek. Tooru, then, takes out the penguin keychain dropped, and gives it back to her, on her ring finger!
