OVA 1: The Feeling of a Heartthrob

It is mid summer, and a girl, Yuuki Mizuho, is walking home after school with her tennis racket. When she gets to a set of stairs and sees a dog over the stairs resting over the shadows, she runs the stairs and jumps over the dog. "It is getting hotter, isn't it", Mizuho says to the dog. After saying that, she makes a swing with her tennis racket, but it lifts her skirt. The dog goes bonkers when he sees her underwear! Mizuho notices the dog's reaction and quickly put her hands behind, covering her skirt. Mizuho slowly turns and says to the dog "you were looking, didn't you?", but the dog turns it's head around. "Ecchi, eh?", and Mizuho winks to the dog.

[Intro: Tokimeko no Yukue]

"I'm home!" says Mizuho to her mother when she crosses the gate. "Welcome back, Mizuho", answers her mother back. She goes to her room to drop her bag and racket and decides to take a bath. It is hot, after all! She walks to the bathroom, and begins undressing. After removing her skirt and shirt, Mizuho hears some noises from the bathtub. "Tatsuya?" (her little brother), wonders Mizuho. It should not be any problem as it is her small brother, thinks Mizuho, but when Kazuya slides the bathtub door and notices their is somebody else... "Kyaaaaaaa!!!!"

Later, Mizuho is discussing with her mother about Tooru, who watched her almost naked. Mizuho's mother, however, says Mizuho is making too much fuss for such a small thing, beside,Tooru is not a stranger as he is Mizuho's classmate. Then, Mizuho's mother asks Tooru to stay for dinner, which Tatsuya is happy about; but Mizuho is dislike the idea. In her room, Mizuho is seating besides her bed, looking at a small penguin keychain. "Why they are doing me this...", is the only thing Mizuho is thinking about.

After dinner, Tooru was almost ready to leave, but Mizuho's mother, who was talking at the phone, tells him to wait. It seems that the apartment where Tooru was living on was having a problem on its own and he will not be able to go for a while. Tooru says that the only solution will be asking help from his father, but before discussing any further, Mizuho's mother asks him to stay with them, as Mizuho's father is out of town (out of the country, rather). Tatsuya is happy with the idea, but Mizuho is not. In fact, she is furious of having the guy who saw her almost naked that day sleep under the same roof! So, that night, Mizuho is having a restless sleep.

Next day, Mizuho is leaving for school, but Tooru asks her to wait for him. Mizuho does not want anybody to watch her walking school with him. Tooru asks her why, but she simply refuses to reply and says she will go alone. Too bad for Mizuho, as two Uzuki Gakuen (Mizuho and Tooru's school) spot them discussing just outside Mizuho's house! So, the gossip spread like wildfire. By the time Mizuho arrives school, everybody was discussing if it was true that Tooru had anything to do with Mizuho...

Tooru, finally arrives to his classroom, and, when he slams open the door, everybody stops talking and looks at him. (Mizuho, on the other hand, is at her seat, somewhat ashamed of all the gossiping). Tooru knows they are talking about him, but says nothing back, instead he walk to his seat. However, there is a drawing over his desk: an umbrella with Mizuho's name and his. [Cultural note: This is equivalent in other countries to having a heart with an arrow]. Tooru, a bit angry by the drawing, quickly grabs it, when Minoru makes fun of Tooru. Tooru asks if Minoru did the drawing, and then asks if Minoru is in the school's news club (which Minoru does). Before Minoru can reply, Tooru rushes to Minoru and grabs him in the neck. "What are you doing? Where are you taking me?", asks Minoru. "Shut up and follow me", Tooru answers back.

Back on the classroom, Reiko makes fun of Mizuho and all the gossiping, but there is nothing Mizuho can say. Suddenly, an acute sound from the school speakers can be hear. "Idiot, you know what are you doing?", can be heard among other things. Then, the voice of Tooru can be heard. He begins explaining what happened earlier, and explains the reason why he was at Yuuki residence. There is nothing between them, says Tooru. A girl, Miko, then, is relieved of what he said... Minoru, with a microphone on his hand, begins asking Tooru about other details, which Tooru responds, cautiously. Suddenly, the cabin's door is opened, it is Shizuka-sensei! "What are you doing, leave that right now!". Since the speakers were still on, the whole school heard that and began laughing at Minoru and Tooru. "Baka", says Mizuho with a smile. At the professor's room, Minoru and Tooru is hitting each other with their elbow, but, at the end, Tooru hits Minoru harder, knocking him.

Back to the class, Reiko is reading aloud the textbook, when the professor calls for Miko to continue. (Tooru seat, the last seat of the last row, was empty). However, Miko, lost on her thoughts, was playing with her pencil. When she snaps back, she quickly looks for the page where Reiko stop (Mizuho told her the page number), but her pencil falls to the ground. She begins looking for it, and, in the process, she reveals her underwear. Some nearby classmates are "surprised" by the sight, so Mizuho quickly tells Miko they are looking at "it"? "Looking at what?" was Miko's reaction...

During lunch-time, Miko and Mizuho goes to the school's roof. Mizuho asks if there is anything wrong with Miko, but Miko says there is nothing wrong, but is thankful nothing happened with Tooru. When Miko asks if there was anything between Mizuho and Tooru, Mizuho only says he went for dinner at her home (Tooru sneezes!). Miko asks Mizuho again her feelings for Tooru, but a surprised Mizuho says there is nothing between her and Tooru. Miko tells Mizuho that she wanted to be sure about Mizuho's feeling, as she likes Tooru. Finally, Miko asks Mizuho to tell Tooru she will bring lunch for him next day. Mizuho is a bit reluctant...

After class, Mizuho is practicing tennis with Nana-chan. Suddenly, she lost concentration when Tooru walks pass the tennis court. "Senpai! I am going to serve", shouts Nana-chan. "Senpai! What's wrong!", when Nana sees that the ball goes pass Mizuho unanswered. "I am sorry", says Mizuho as she snaps back and continues playing.

At Dogeza Cafe, Tooru is washing some dishes, when two girls walks in. Master welcomes her, but when one of the girl walks directly in front of Tooru. Master tells Tooru somebody is looking for him; "What it is?" roughly says Tooru. But, the girls reflects a sad face, which makes both Master and Tooru try to stop her from crying. The girl turns to her friend who was still at the door. "Ai, you can do it!", says the girl. "What is going on" murmurs Tooru, as Master hits Tooru with the elbow, saying "you are lucky with the girls", but Tooru nervously tells Master to stop it. Ai turns to Tooru and says "Senpai". Contrary to his first reaction, now Tooru straights up, "Yes!". "Senpai, probably everybody does not believe in what you said...", says Ai; however, Tooru is a bit confused on what Ai is trying to say. "But I do believe in you". And as soon as she finishes saying it, Ai runs to Miyuki. "Miyuki-chan I managed to say it!" Tooru, still confused on what was going on, asks the girls name. "My name is Minamizato Ai", she answers...

On Kamiyama temple, Miko is sweeping some dry leaves, when she suddenly stops. She runs to ring the bell and prays... Meanwhile, Mizuho, on her way back home, stops at a park, sitting on a swing. She takes out the penguin key chain, and remembers the tennis tournament she was playing in... And a guy who gave her the keychain as a luck charm. Then she recalls what Miko told her on the roof. Mizuho begins to swing and jumps. "9.9 score!"

That night, Mizuho walks to the kitchen to have something to drink. Suddenly, a noise comes from the kitchen. It was Tooru, who was drinking a glass of water. But Mizuho blushes when she notices Tooru is "just wearing" a trunk. She goes to the fridge to get a orange juice, but, then, Tooru stare at Mizuho's body. "What are you looking?", asks Mizuho to Tooru when she notices Tooru was staring at her. Tooru begins to apologize for the days incident, but Mizuho tells there was nothing to worry about. "Good Night", says Tooru as he walks out the kitchen. "Wait", says Mizuho, "Miko will be visiting you tomorrow." Tooru justs mentions Miko's name and leaves the kitchen. "Good Night", says Mizuho at then end.

Next day, Miko brings a lunch box for Tooru. He eats a bit of it, and another. "Is it good?" asks Miko. "It is delicious!" says Tooru. Miko is happy for Tooru's comment. They begin laughing, when Mizuho is walking the stairs bringing something to drink. However, when Tooru tells Miko she will be an excellent wife, both Mizuho (walking the corridor) and Miko are surprised. "What is wrong, Miko?" asks Tooru, getting closer. But Miko is shocked because Tooru is "too close" to her, and jumps back. "My heart is beating... This feeling", says Miko, as she breaths deeply. Mizuho decides not to interrupt them and walks back. After resting a while, Miko is back to herself. "Are you all right?", asks Tooru. "I am fine", but Miko is surprised when her skirt was revealing a bit after she jumped back! Tooru acts as if he didn't notice anything at all. Finally, Tooru asks Miko if she wants to go to the pool next day. At first, she is reluctant, but at the end agrees to.

On their way back to Kamiyama temple, Miko is very happy, and tells Mizuho, who was walking with her, she will be going to the pool with Tooru. Miko asks Mizuho if she wants to join them, but before Mizuho answers, Miko is already running the stairs. On her way home, rain starts pouring, leaving no other choice to Mizuho than run for cover. She runs under a tent of a closed store, as a lightning strikes... Thinking...
