Now, we are talking about my favorite girl of all the Kakyuusei cast! Mahoko is the girl working in the Katorea Flower Shop (OK, spelling varies). She wants to be a professional flower arranger, and, of course, she loves flowers . (Being so, she knows the meaning of each flower).

In the OVA, she only makes a small cameo. She does not meet Tooru, but she does seem to know about him, as the flower shop is besides Dogeza Cafe (in the TV Serie, the Flower Shop is nowhere near the Cafe). On the other hand, in the TV series, she has a big role; three episodes are about her! Mahoko meets Tsuyoshi at the beach (wonder why episode 5 is titled Shiokaze no Meguriai or Meeting with the Sea Winds?), although at first, they does not tell each other's name.

In my opinnion, Mahoko got to be the most romantic girl of the series, a good competition for Ai. In fact, Tsuyoshi even fell in love for her. However... Well, there are some times that words can't describe it, just check the summary for episode 7.

Note: The flower Mahoko is carrying is a cattleya, a variety of orchid. Makes me wonder if it is coincidence if the name of the flower shop and the flower she carries were the same... Thanks for Kamiyama Kumiko for the tip!
